Entry Requirements


Designed for learners aged 19+


No formal qualifications required, but learners must be:


Qualified, proficient, or experienced in the subject they wish to teach


Able to demonstrate potential to study at Level 4 (equivalent to the first year of a degree)


Capable of supporting learners at the appropriate level in their subject area


Initial skills assessment required in maths, English, and ICT


No need to have completed Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Qualification Structure

Learners must complete a minimum of 36 credits, which includes:


24 credits from mandatory units


At least 15 credits from optional units


30 hours of teaching practice (with mandatory observed sessions)
